The first to arrive in the new "Autographed Portrait Post Card" mailings . . (03/25)
This is a new series inspired by the John Tingey book on the life of W. Reginald Bray (The Englishman who Posted Himself and other Curious Objects). This card in my postings showed up in my mailbox the day my original autographed W. R. Bray arrived from England . . How I love the serendipity of life in each day  . .

Yuri Gagarin (via Strelnikov), Fort Collins, CO, USA

Thanks to IUOMA member Strelnikov for this most recent addition to the Portrait Gallery. Also enclosed was a facinating collection of 38 itunes . .

More info on the subject (Wiki): Yuri Gagarin

Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin (Russian: Ю́рий Алексе́евич Гага́рин,[1] Russian pronunciation: [ˈjurʲɪj ɐlʲɪˈksʲejɪvʲɪtɕ ɡɐˈɡarʲɪn]; 9 March 1934 – 27 March 1968) was a Soviet pilot and cosmonaut. He was the first human being to journey into outer space, when his Vostokspacecraft completed an orbit of the Earth on April 12, 1961.
Gagarin became an international celebrity, and was awarded many medals and honours, including Hero of the Soviet Union, the nation's highest honour. Vostok 1 marked his only spaceflight, but he served as backup crew to the Soyuz 1 mission (which ended in a fatal crash). Gagarin later became deputy training director of the Cosmonaut Training Centre outside Moscow, which was later named after him. Gagarin died in 1968 when a MiG 15 training jet he was piloting crashed.

Omar Sachedina, Toronto, Ontario, CANADA

Thanks to one of my favourite CTV news reporters, Omar Sachedina
Omar Sachedina joined CTV NATIONAL NEWS as a reporter in September 2009, after two years as a reporter/anchor at CP24, where he anchored Toronto's breaking news to a new prime time record in the summer of 2009 when a super storm hit Toronto and 1.2 million viewers tuned in to coverage led by Sachedina. . . .
